as we all know, knitting is simple computer coding.. its ALL ones and zeros.
and those pattern names? they are Macros.... complex instructiuons of ones and zeros reduced to a tag phrase..

for flat knitting:
Stockinette (knit one row, purl one row)
Garter stitch (knit all rows)
